Birthdays, Heroes & Nudists!..... LOL... Just keep reading

This is DAN RIVERS from the 99.9 KISS-FM Morning Show, "Dan & Charly"(Weekday mornings from 6-10)...

To those of you visiting for the first time, Thank You! If you are a listener and/or regular visitor, thank you as well.

This is my 1st entry on the new blog.

Happy Birthday to my amazing son Hunter! He turns 9 years old today. My awesome daughter Madison just turned 7, three weeks ago so it's a big birthday month at our household. For those of you who are parents you'll understand when I say... I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST THEY ARE GROWING UP... Slow down already! I just want them to stay young forever. Of course that can't happen so I've just made the decision to take time to really enjoy each stage of their lives. Each age is here just once and then I'll never see it again so it's up to me to do whatever I can to really enjoy each year of their lives to the fullest.

Yesterday I had a cool thing happen to me in Kihei. I went to the Whaler's General Store in the shopping center with the Denny's. While there, I realized I was 16 cents short of my purchase of 2 waters for both my wife & her mom (she's visiting us for 2 weeks). I was in a big hurry so I asked the cashier, Noreen, if she could spot me 16 cents for the purchase. I promised to return within 2 hours to repay the money. I was happy to hear the answer, "YES." Big props to Noreen Malafu. Whaler's General Store should be very proud of her. She was awesome and not just because she did for me what I wanted and needed at the time. No, it's much deeper than that. She is great because she gave trust to a complete stranger. And because she went out of her way to help another human being. Later I discovered that she was covering the deficit with her own money. Yes, it's a small amount but it's not about the amount it's all about being kind and generous to others.

I thanked her immensely and then told her who I was and that I wanted to say hi to her and anyone else she wanted me to on-the-air the next morning. She immediately wanted me to say hi to her husband, Steven Malafu. This morning on the show I called her at work to thank her properly. I am so thankful that people like Noreen Malafu still exist. Because of her thoughtfulness and generosity, she is one of my new heroes. Again, Noreen, THANK YOU! By the way, in case you're wondering, I did go back within 15 minutes and I repaid her the 16 cents.

Oh, real quickly, here is the answer to this morning's Impossible Question.

The Impossible Question(IQ) was: Recently the AANR (American Association of Nude Recreation) asked it's member what is your favorite recreational activity to do in the nude.
